Thanks to an
initiative taken by Bordeaux Town Hall, people who love
wine, food, and culture are able to share these pleasures
on Europe's largest square, and on the banks of the
Garonne, in an atmosphere of celebration and conviviality.
In order to offer thousands
of French and foreign visitors 4 unforgettable days,
the BORDEAUX WINE FESTIVAL will take place in the heart
of the city on a surface area of over 12 hectares. Thanks
to a TASTING PASS, visitors will be able
to savour a huge variety of wines from Bordeaux and
the Aquitaine region at one location. Also, thanks
to a VINEYARD PASS, they can visit the Gironde wine
country, with its amazing châteaux and beautiful
landscapes.
At the 6th WINE FESTIVAL, Bordeaux will be paying special
homage to Saint
Petersburg whose rich and varied cultural life has
achieved international recognition. Founded by Tsar
Peter 1 (" Peter the Great ") in May 1703,
with the idea that this would give Russia a "window
on Europe"...
