Every year, the Best of Wine Tourism
competition rewards the properties that are the most
efficient and innovative in terms of public reception,
which is what makes their discovery so appealing. This year, Bordeaux Wine Festival has decided
to showcase some of these properties by organizing a
Best Of tour.
2. Le Médoc des Grands
Crus
1855 Cru Classé wines open their doors
in Margaux, Pauillac and Saint-Julien. During your day-long
visit, we invite you to discover the Médoc regions
Pauillac, Saint Julien and Margaux appellations through
a few 1855 Grand Cru Classé wines.
3. Saint-Emilion: Grands Crus
and heritage
A whole day in one of the worlds most well-known
wine-producing regions! Saint Emilion is an exceptional
site, featured on UNESCOs World Heritage List
for its exceptional landscape devoted entirely
to wine-growing, with many fine historic monuments in
its town and villages.
4. Grands vins de Sauternes
et de Graves
This tour will give you the chance to discover
three superb Bordeaux appellations located southeast
of Bordeaux on the Garonne river: Graves, Pessac-Léognan,
and Sauternes.
5. Vineyards and the
city
Discover the two faces of Bordeaux, both an architectural
gem recently classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
and the world capital of wine trading, the gateway to
one of the worlds most prestigious wine-growing
areas.
6. Visit of Entre-deux-Mers
From the banks of the Garonne to the majestic
Sauve Majeure abbey, this hilly region invites you to
take a historic and wine tour through the appellations
of Cadillac, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux
and Entre-deux-Mers.
7. Bergerac, gateway to Périgord
The Bergerac region, a land of vineyards and
bastides, invites you to a enjoy a visit filled with
discovery and emotion: take a boat trip down the Dordogne,
visit Château de Monbazillac and Château
de Montaigne and taste the appellations that have made
the region famous.
8. Welcome to Haute-Gironde!
On the banks of the Gironde estuary, the fabulous
landscapes are made up of vineyards, forests, little
fishing-ports, citadels and wine-producing châteaux,
all just waiting to be discovered on this excursion
that also includes an opportunity to taste wines from
the Côtes de Blaye and Côtes de Bourg appellations.
9. Val de Garonne et vignoble
de Duras
This trip to the vineyards of the Lot and Garonne
regions promises the most enjoyable of days spent discovering
people, wines and local flavours in a varied landscape
where vineyards rub shoulders with fields of sunflowers.
